A Life of Love and Devotion

Cathy Ann (Trout) White was born in Sandusky, where she was the daughter of Avery and Katharyn (Shilling) Trout. Raised in this close-knit community, she was molded by it into the person she was, as her values of family, friendship and hard work took root. A proud graduate of Perkins High School, Cathy spent many years of her life at the former Chesapeake/Displayco where she worked hard and was respected for doing so.

Still, it was beyond the walls of her workplace that Cathy’s true self flourished. She found simple pleasure in things like Bayshore Campground delighting along with loved ones as laughter and stories were shared without reservation These moments now become memories treasured by all who had the good fortune to know her.

A Legacy of Love: Family and Friends

In Cathy’s heart rest the most cherished memories. She is survived by her loving sons Ryan Barrett II of Sandusky and Kelly Barrett of Norwalk; her adoring grand children Ryan (Ashlyn) Barrett and Emma Barrett; and her great grandaughters Ellie and Paisley. Her children, proof in themselves that Cathy lived and breathed kindness and compassion each day, carry on her good work.

Her life also met with sorrow, in the losses of her dearest parents, her husband Roger White, and own infant son Ryan Barrett I. Even so, facing again and again such cruelty to her body, Cathy would never once break under pressure. With Cathy’s express request, cremation will be held. The family will then lay on private memorial services at a later date to remember her. Those closest to Cathy will gather in private at this time, looking again at her life and the legacy she leaves behind for them all.
