A Life Celebrated on the Ice and Beyond

The African Sports Corporation newspaper “Hunter set a rare example during his sports career, especially in its devotion to ice hockey with the Jaguar Hockey Club. He was all set to start the spring season with U16 squad where he gained one year of Bantam experience. Being an ardent fan from day one, Hunter loved game and comradeship that made him an indispensable member of Jaguars right throughout his hockey career.”

But Hunter’s athletic talents were not limited to the ice. He did well in school wrestling and lacrosse as a freshman at Minooka High School. This shows numerous facets of talent for which Hunter should be remembered.

Jaguar Hockey Club announced in a condolence message filled with anguish and respect, “The Hockey Jaguars are deeply saddened by loss Hunter McDonald, our present player … Our deepest condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”

A Yong Man of Many Facets

Hunter was born on January 23, 2009 and his spectrum of hobbies was vast. As well as belonging to Chess Club, he also did the school’s Underwater Robotics Program, displaying intellectual curiosity and versatility in his talents. Besides these, Hunter spent a certain portion of his energy working for Heaps Giant Pumpkin Farm which shows him to have been very industrious and team-oriented.

Hunter’s legacy continues to live on, with his loving parents Matt and Kristy McDonald and brothers Matty and Cam. A visitation to celebrate his life and honor his memory is scheduled for 2:00pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday April 9th at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet.
